Blueberry Anti-inflammatory Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 large handful of spinach
  • 3 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup frozen pineappleĀ 
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 2 cups of water or nondairy milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts
  • 1 tbsp flaxmeal
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger (or thumb size peeled fresh)
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric (or thumb size peeled fresh)
  • Pinch of black pepper

Directions

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend on high for 1 minute or until desired consistency is reached.

Greens like spinach are full of minerals that combat inflammation. Adding turmeric (with a pinch of black pepper for absorption) targets inflammation in the body, and it also known as the memory spice. A great way to combat inflammation is through nutrition!
